Bobby Brown (* 5. February 1969 in Roxbury , Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American R & B - singer and winner of the Grammy Award for the division rhythm and blues (R & B) 1989th

Life

Bobby Brown began his career in 1980 as a member of the R&B boy band New Edition (producer Maurice Starr). After leaving, he released his first solo album in 1986.

With the record Don't Be Cruel , Bobby Brown made his breakthrough as a solo artist in the spring of 1988. The album included the hits My Prerogative , Roni , Every Little Step and Rock Wit 'Cha , which won a Grammy Award. He also had chart successes with the following two albums, including the single On Our Own from the Ghostbusters II soundtrack released in mid-1989 . He also has a brief appearance in this film: after the ghost hunters have been arrested and their trip to the mayor, he opens the door for them at the town hall and asks for proton packets for his little brother.

Mid-1992 married Bobby Brown, the American R & B - Soul - and pop music - a singer , actress and film producer Whitney Houston . From this marriage came their daughter Bobbi Kristina (* March 4, 1993, † July 26, 2015).

In 1992 he also released his third studio album "Bobby". It had hits like "Humpin 'Around" and "Good Enough". In autumn 1996 Bobby Brown landed another worldwide success with the comeback of his former band New Edition with the album "Home Again".

In 2005 he appeared at BET 's 25th Anniversary Special for the first time in 19 years with his previous band New Edition . Whitney Houston divorced Brown in 2007. She had sole custody of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Brown has two other children with ex-girlfriend Kim Ward and two with wife Alicia Etheridge.
