Bobbi Kristina Brown (born March 4, 1993 in Livingston , New Jersey , † July 26, 2015 in Duluth , Georgia ) was an American singer and actress . She was the daughter of soul singer Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown and the granddaughter of gospel and soul singer Cissy Houston .

Live and act

At the age of twelve, Bobbi Kristina Brown played on her father's reality show and was a cheerleader at her school. She had a joint television appearance in New York's Central Park in 2009 with her mother Whitney Houston . As a singer, Brown accompanied her mother at a few concerts in 1999, 2009 and 2012. In 2003 she and her mother recorded the duet Little Drummer Boy for their album One Wish: The Holiday Album . The album was placed on the US Billboard Charts at number 49. In March 2011, photos were published that showed Brown sniffing cocaine , which she denied. After her mother died on February 11, 2012, Brown suffered a nervous breakdown and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center . In the following years she was a regular user of hard drugs such as heroin , the opioid Roxicodone and the benzodiazepine Xanax . At the Billboard Music Awards in May 2012, she received the Millennium Award for her late mother.

In 2012 she was given a guest role as receptionist Tina on the television series Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse through a friend of her mother's, Tyler Perry .

She announced her engagement in October 2012 and married Nick Gordon in 2013. Her father, Bobby Brown, had the marriage denied through a lawyer in February 2015 ("is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon").

As of February 2014, Brown worked with Daphne Barak on a documentary about her late mother Whitney Houston.

Shortly before her death, Brown had voiced fear that she would end up like her mother: "I'll end up like Mom". On January 31, 2015, she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her home after posting her last picture on Instagram just hours earlier . She was first taken to North Fulton Hospital and later to the larger Emory University Hospital. As her condition continued to deteriorate despite all medical efforts, she was finally transferred to a hospice in late June 2015 . She died there four weeks later. The ordered autopsy of the corpse remained without any noticeable external findings. The cause of death was found to be brain damage and a pulmonary embolism caused by the simultaneous abuse of alcohol, marijuana, morphine, and a cocaine substitute. On November 18, 2016, it was announced that Brown's ex-boyfriend, Nick Gordon , had been sentenced in civil proceedings by a judge in Atlanta , Georgia to pay $ 36 million in damages for giving her this toxic cocktail during a "cocaine and alcohol binge." “Should have administered.
