Whirlpool Productions is the name of a Cologne house project by musicians and producers Eric D. Clark , Justus Köhncke and Hans Nieswandt .
History and background
Whirlpool Productions was founded in 1991. The project is known for its idiosyncratic, experimental sound, which shaped the style of bands like Sensorama or Egoexpress . With her Disco - Hit From Disco to Disco they succeeded in Italy in summer 1997 No. 1 hit , what a television appearance in a hit parade show allowed.
The musicians were also journalists in the old editorial staff of the music magazine Spex and therefore always interested in the theoretical side of their work. Today they mainly appear as DJs . In his book plus minus eight, Hans Nieswandt reports on his memories of House in the 1990s.
