It arises as Lottice Brook northeast of Belthorn and flows in a northerly direction until it turns to the east at the bridge of Haslingden Old Road over the M65 motorway . It flows under the B6234 road in Oswaldwistle and turns north, then changing its name to White Ash Brook. Under this name he forms the Hyndburn Brook when he meets the Tinker Brook .
