White Tiger was a US -American glam metal band released 1980's, the 1986 their first album with the same title.

The band was formed in 1985 after rock singer David Donato enjoyed a brief stint with the heavy metal band Black Sabbath , for which he was a candidate. Tony Iommi then decided on former Deep Purple musician Glenn Hughes .

In addition to David Donato (vocals), the band also consisted of the former Kiss guitarist Mark St. John and his brother Michael Norton on bass, who was also a guitar roadie with Kiss at times. The drummer was the previously unknown drummer Brian James Fox, who later played in the band Silent Rage .

The band achieved a respectable success with the release of their first album in 1986. It was not until 1999 that another album was released, on which older or previously unreleased songs can be found.

Guitarist Mark St. John, who was often unable to perform musical activities in his Kiss days due to his illness, Reiter's disease , died surprisingly on April 5, 2007 of a stroke.
