The Wide Bay Highway is a trunk road in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It connects the Bruce Highway (NA1) northwest of Gympie with the Burnett Highway (A3) in Goomeri .

The highway marked as State Road 49 is the continuation of the Bunya Highway (S49) to the east-northeast. It is named after the Wide Bay , a bay near the Fraser Island off the east coast of Australia .
