As Christmas came to earth (original title: Jól á suffering til Jardar) is an Icelandic puppet - television series from the year 1994 . It was like a Christmas stockings from the 1 December until the 24 December broadcast.

Peter, Heavenly Father and Archangel Michael have a lot to do to ensure that Christmas comes to earth on time. As for 2000 years, the Archangel Michael has to bring it to earth from a richly decorated box. Also there are the baby angels Po and Pa, who can hardly fly and also have no halo , but are already doing a lot of mischief and are always on the lookout for sweets.

Production and publication

The series was produced in Iceland in 1994 by Siggi Anima Studio under the direction of Sigurður Örn Brynjólfsson and the script by Friðrik Erlingsson. The German premiere of the series took place on December 1, 1996 on ZDF . In 1999 and 2000, the series was also broadcast again on KiKA .
