Wieland Wünsche (born November 18, 1955 ) is a former soccer player in the GDR soccer team . With progress Bischofswerda he played in the 1986/87 season in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR Football Association .

The 1.83 m high wish, butcher by profession, joined the GDR league team of the company sports community (BSG) progress Bischofswerda at the age of 22 in 1978 . There he played as a striker until the end of his career. In the seasons 1979/80, 1981/82 and 1983/84 he was the top scorer of his team with eleven championship goals. When Bischofswerda surprisingly made promotion to the league in the 1985/86 season, Wünsche was already 31 years old and was no longer part of the player base. He was only involved in the promotion success with two point games. In the 1986/87 league season he played 14 of the 26 point games played, but was only seven times in the starting eleven in which he was called up as a striker. In his league missions, he came only to one goal. The BSG Progress could only stay in the league for one season and from 1987/88 continued to play with wishes in the GDR league. In the 1988/89 season, the team was promoted to the league for the second time, and wishes was again involved. As a 33-year-old, however, he ended his career as a competitive footballer at the end of the season.
