description

The building was constructed in the style of the Italian Renaissance . The building was named after the telescope maker Johann Wiesel (1583–1662), who lived here from 1637 to 1642.

From 2009 the Wieselhaus was renovated by the Catholic Study Fund Foundation . The original condition from the Renaissance period was restored and, among other things, the arcades on the upper floors of the east and north sides were glazed. At the end of 2013, Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH moved into the building and set up the Fugger and Welser Adventure Museum there, which opened on September 27, 2014.
