Viktor Pavlovich Bolschow

Viktor Pawlowitsch Bolschow ( Russian Виктор Павлович Большов , English transcription Viktor Bolshov; born May 23, 1939 in Isberbasch ) is a former Soviet high jumper .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was fourth, with he reached 2.14 m the same height as the bronze medalist John Thomas .

In 1962 he was fourth at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade and seventh at the European Indoor Games in Prague in 1967 .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was eliminated from qualification.

In 1960 he became a Soviet champion. He set his personal best of 2.21 m on July 19, 1972 in Moscow .

He is married to the former sprinter and hurdler Walentyna Bolschowa . Their daughter Olga Bolșova was successful as a high and triple jumper for Moldova.
