The Wildenberg is a forested mountain ridge 640 m above sea level in the north of the district town of Wunsiedel in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains in Bavaria . It lies east of the road from Wunsiedel to Bibersbach , in the south the Siechenbach flows past. The ten hectare forest area belongs to the city of Wunsiedel and is used for forestry.
Surname
In the land register of the six offices of 1499 the mountain is referred to as Widemberg, although the origin of the name is still unknown.
Wind turbine
Since 2016 there has been a wind turbine on the north side of the mountain with a hub height of 137 meters and a rotor diameter of 126 meters.
