Wilfried Auerbach (born March 17, 1960 in Linz ) is an Austrian athlete, politician and management consultant.

He started as a rower at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. In 1980 he and Thomas Linemayr finished ninth in a two-man scull , and in 1984 with Linemayr he also achieved seventh place in a double scull . The best placement at the World Rowing Championships was ninth in Duisburg 1983.

Auerbach then worked as a marketing manager in companies such as Philip Morris, Hipp, Berglandmilch and as managing director of the Pellets Association Germany (PVD), most recently as an independent management consultant.

Until spring 2008, Auerbach was chairman of the Association of Friends of Culture and Contemporary History , based in Schloss Hochscharten in Waizenkirchen, which is known for its events with neo-Nazi greats such as David Irving and Gerd Honsik . Auerbach stated that he did not know anything about the nature of these events.

Wilfried Auerbach was the leading candidate for the Independent Citizens' Initiative Save Austria in the Austrian National Council election in 2008 .
