Wilfried Voigt (born July 15, 1939 ) is a former German football player who played for SC Neubrandenburg in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR football, in 1964/65 .

Athletic career

Wilfried Voigt began his career as a soccer player in 1953 with the company sports association (BSG) Turbine Neubrandenburg. In 1962 he rose with the first men's team from the third-class II. GDR league to the first GDR league . As a midfielder, Voigt belonged to the regular team in 1962/63, in which the Neubrandenburg competed as a sports club, 21 point games and scored two goals in these games. When SC Neubrandenburg ended the 1963/64 season as a climber in the league, Voigt was involved with 19 missions in 30 played point games. In the league season 1964/65 he was initially set as a midfielder and completed all 13 league games of the first round. Voigt then had to pause eight point games and only played four times at the end of the season. Since the SCN did not manage to stay in the league, he then played again in the GDR league (2nd GDR league abolished since 1963). Initially, after being spun off from the sports club, the Neubrandenburg team started as a football sports association in the 1965/66 season, and from 1966 as the BSG Post. Wilfried Voigt was able to maintain his regular position until 1970. In the five GDR league seasons between 1955 and 1970 he was absent from a total of 150 point games played, he was only missing in seven games. Voigt played his last season with the first team of the BSG Post in 1970/71, in which he only played twelve of 26 GDR league games. With his 211 games in the GDR Oberliga and GDR League, he was one of the most frequently used players of his active time. After finishing his career as a football player, he became a trainer for the second team of Neubrandenburg, which played in the third-class district league Neubrandenburg .
