Wilfried Weissgärber

Wilfried Weissgärber (born April 9, 1941 in Braunau , Sudetenland) is a former civil servant at the St. Pölten tax office and in the St. Pölten magistrate, commander of the St. Pölten voluntary fire brigade and commander of the Lower Austrian fire brigade association .

Life

Wilfried Weissgärber was born in the Sudetenland. In the turmoil of the last days of the war he came to St. Pölten. After completing compulsory school, he completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and then joined the Austrian army . At the age of 21 he joined the St. Pölten volunteer fire department .

Professionally, Wilfried Weissgärber initially worked in the tax authorities, but in 1991 he moved to the municipal administration of St. Pölten.

Among other things, he was very committed to the youth fire brigade in Lower Austria. In 1995 he took over the role of regional fire brigade commander from his predecessor Erwin Nowak , his successor was Josef Buchta in 2006 .
