Wilfried Woyke (born May 12, 1944 in Eupen ) is a former German football player .

Career

The football goalkeeper Wilfried Woyke played for Fortuna Düsseldorf between 1965 and 1979 . In total, he made 190 Bundesliga appearances. The Fortuna home grown in 1968 finally moved from the amateur to the professional department and became a regular goalkeeper when Wolfgang Fahrian moved to Fortuna Cologne in 1969 . After the Bundesliga promotion in 1971, the goalkeeper under coach Heinz Lucas was the undisputed number one for a long time. In his last season Woyke was Fortuna regular goalkeeper until matchday 15, but was then replaced by Jörg Daniel , who finally stood in goal when Fortuna Düsseldorf won the DFB Cup in 1979 .

Following his professional career, he played successfully for a few more seasons with the Westphalia upper division VfL Gevelsberg , together with his former Fortuna specialist Werner "Timo" Kriegler .
