The Wilhelm-Remy-Gymnasium in Bendorf am Rhein is a state secondary school where physically handicapped and non-handicapped pupils are taught together. It is the only grammar school in Rhineland-Palatinate that focuses on the integration of physically handicapped children and young people of all grades.

Founded in 1967 as the Staatliches Neusprachliches und Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliches Gymnasium Bendorf , it was named in 1988 after Wilhelm Remy , one of the first German industrialists who worked in Bendorf in the 18th century.

In the 1970s the high school had an exchange program with Thorpe St Andrew High School in Norwich, England . Since 1978 there has been a school partnership with the Collège Lelorgne de Savigny in Provins , France , and since 1980 with the Radnóti Miklós Gymnasium in Szeged , Hungary .

In 2014, the grammar school received the award as a MINT-friendly school due to its commitment in the mathematical and scientific field.

In May 2015, the Wilhelm-Remy-Gymnasium was one of the first schools in Rhineland-Palatinate to be named a European school by the Ministry of Education .
