Wilhelm (Hauteville)
Wilhelm (* around 1072; † September 1, 1097 ) was a Norman crusader from Apulia . On his mother's side, he came from the Norman noble Hauteville family . As the brother of Tankred the Crusader, he was one of two sons of Emma , a daughter of Robert Guiskard . His father was Eudes Bon-Marchais (Odo "the good margrave"). On his mother's side he had an uncle, Bohemond of Taranto .
In 1096 he joined his brother Tankred, his uncle Bohemond, for the First Crusade . In the course of the crusade he was killed in battle on September 1, 1097.
