Wilhelm Achter (born September 22, 1896 in Münster i. W .; † after 1951 ) was a German entrepreneur. He was a member of the board and general director of Gladbacher Wollindustrie AG, president of the Gladbach-Rheydt Chamber of Commerce and Industry and military leader .

Life

After attending school and doing military service as an artillery officer from 1914 to 1919, Wilhelm Achter studied the textile industry. In 1923, at the age of 26, he became the sole director of Gladbacher Wollindustrie AG.

During National Socialism he was a district economics officer and from 1939 military economics leader of the NSDAP . In 1937 he wrote the book Becoming and Growing an Economic Area on the Left Lower Rhine .

He lived in the Dalheim house in the town of the same name in the Aachen district.
