Franz Brüning (politician, 1812)

Franz Anton Brüning (born February 9, 1812 in Enniger ; † May 25, 1895 ) was a German landowner and politician ( center / conservative).

Brüning lived as a landowner in Enniger. There he was also mayor as well as bailiff and later honorary officer in the Vorhelm department . Brüning, who was a Catholic denomination, initially represented conservative political positions and later joined the center. In a large number of terms he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia . In 1854 (as a deputy), 1856 to 1858, 1865 to 1868, 1871 (as a deputy), 1877 to 1882 and 1885 (as a deputy) for the state of the rural communities in the constituency of East Münster for the Beckum and Warendorf districts. After the electoral reform, he was re-elected to the provincial parliament in the Beckum constituency from 1887 to 1892. From 1887 to 1890 he was age president of the Provincial Parliament. He was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
