Wilhelm Büsing

Wilhelm "Willi" Büsing (born March 2, 1921 ) is a former German eventing rider who won two Olympic medals in 1952.

Wilhelm Büsing took third place in the individual competition at the 1952 Olympic Games on Hubertus behind the Swede Hans von Blixen-Finecke jr. and the French Guy Lefrant . In the team classification, the Swedes won ahead of the German team with Büsing, Klaus Wagner and Otto Rothe . Two years later, the German team with Büsing, Wagner and August Lütke-Westhues took second place behind the British at the European Championships in Basel.

On December 27, 1953, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for his athletic achievements.

Wilhelm Büsing received his doctorate as a veterinarian in 1945 with a thesis on Oldenburg horse breeding.
