Klaus Wagner (rider)
Klaus Wagner (born January 16, 1922 in Knauthain ; † August 16, 2001 in Neindorf ) was a German eventing rider who took part in the Olympic Games four times and won two medals.
Klaus Wagner took fifth place in the individual competition at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki on Dachs . In the team standings, the Swedes won ahead of the German team with Wilhelm Büsing , Klaus Wagner and Otto Rothe . Two years later, the German team with Büsing, Wagner and August Lütke-Westhues took second place behind the British at the European Championships in Basel. The Olympic Equestrian Games 1956 in Stockholm Wagner took on Princess 21st place in the team competition, along with August Lütke-Westhues and Otto Rothe he won the silver medal in the team competition behind the British. After Ottokar Pohlmann and Wagner had to give up at the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 , the German team was not included in the ranking. At the 1968 Olympic Games , Wagner on Abdulla finished 24th in the individual ranking. The German team with Horst Karsten and Jochen Mehrdorf came in fifth.
