Wilhelm Dethard Motz (born July 25, 1815 in Bremen , † March 25, 1897 in Bremen) was a German educator and member of the Bremen citizenship.

biography

He was the son of the general practitioner Dr. Dethard Motz and a nephew of the lawyer and Bremen Senator Heinrich Christian Motz , as well as great-grandson of the commandant of Bremen, of Christoph Ludwig Motz . Motz attended a village school and then received private lessons from his uncle, Pastor Motz in Bützow. Then he attended the scholars' school in Bremen. From 1835 to 1839 he studied theology at the University of Jena and the University of Bonn . He then worked as a private tutor in Bremen. In 1858 he became head of the preschool at Eschenhof in Bremen. From 1859 to 1865 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship . In 1872 he and others founded the Association for the Training of Nurses. He led the club until 1892.
