Wilhelm Eilers (politician)

Wilhelm Eilers (born November 1, 1912 in Bremerhaven ; † May 9, 1971 there ) was a politician from Bremerhaven (BHE, GB / BHE , SPD ). He sat in the Bremen citizenship .

Life

After completing secondary school, Eilers did a commercial apprenticeship in the fish wholesale trade. He then worked as a purchasing agent in Bremerhaven. From 1940 to 1945 he served as a soldier in World War II . He then worked as a sworn auctioneer at the Bremerhaven fishing port operating company .

Eilers had been a member of the NSDAP since 1939 . In 1947 he was denazified as unaffected . After the war, he became a member of the Federation of Expellees and Disenfranchised (BHE), from 1953 the All-German Bloc / Federation of Expellees and Disenfranchised (GB / BHE) and since February 9, 1955 in the SPD in Bremerhaven. From 1968 to 1971 he was chairman of the local SPD association in Bremerhaven.

From 1951 to 1971 (†) he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for 20 years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship. In the 3rd electoral term of the citizenship he was group spokesman for the GB / BHE parliamentary group from 1953 to 1955.
