Wilhelm Erpenbeck

Wilhelm Erpenbeck (born June 20, 1892 in Glandorf , Osnabrück district, † February 26, 1971 there ) was a German politician ( center / CDU ).

After attending a Catholic elementary school, Erpenbeck began an apprenticeship as a carpenter. He worked as a journeyman in various cities. In Blankenburg / Harz he attended the carpentry school. In the First World War he was a soldier between 1914 and 1918. In 1920 he became an independent master craftsman.

Between 1923 and 1933 he was a local councilor as well as a school board member of the Glandorf community. After the seizure of power in 1933, he was removed from office for political reasons. In 1939 he was taken into protective custody by the Gestapo . After the Second World War , he was elected to the district council of the Osnabrück district in 1946. He was district administrator for the Osnabrück-Land district between 1946 and 1949.

In the second to fourth electoral term he became a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from May 6, 1951 to May 5, 1963. Erpenbeck initially belonged to the Center group until October 7, 1953. Between October 8, 1953 and January 13, 1955 he was part of the Mitte parliamentary group and from January 14, 1955 a member of the DP / CDU parliamentary group.
