This business area was successfully expanded into the 1970s and the Gillardon interest tables developed into a standard for determining interest rates in Germany. Heinrich Gillardon, grandson of the company founder, recognized the signs of the times as early as 1978 and entered the software business with the development of financial programs for pocket computers - Gillardon was the first provider of effective interest and return programs on programmable pocket calculators.

Since the 1980s, Gillardon has played a key role in the discussion and development of the market interest rate and present value method and methods for integrating all risks in the form of numerous publications on financial mathematics - in particular by Christian Sievi . Since the early 1990s, the company has developed into a provider of banking software, financial mathematics seminars and product consulting. The best-known product is MARZIPAN, which can be considered a classic among financial mathematical computing cores.
