history
The company was founded on January 31, 1980 by Hans Zehetmaier, Herbert Enzbrenner and Pius Pflügler. The Msg Group has since grown to over 8,000 employees.
In 2003, 2005, 2011, 2014 and 2017 the company received the Bavarian Best 50 award , the award from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs for top entrepreneurial performance.
In the ranking of the market research company Lünendonk, msg systems came in sixth place among the “TOP 25 IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany 2019” and in 2010 for the second time among the “Leading German medium-sized IT consulting and system integration companies”.
msg systems is a subsidiary of msg Group GmbH. msg systems holds the majority of the voting rights of affiliated companies, including msg life AG. Stephan Frohnhoff has been CEO of the msg group of companies since January 1, 2020. He succeeds the co-founder of msg, Hans Zehetmaier, who retired from the operative business at the age of 65.
