Wilhelm Hogrefe (born April 15, 1949 in Luttum ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Live and act

Wilhelm Hogrefe trained in agriculture and then studied agriculture at the engineering academy in Celle . This was followed by a biology and chemistry degree at the University of Braunschweig . He has been a farmer since 1994 . He is married and has two daughters.

In 1970 he was the founding chairman of the Junge Union of the Verden district association . Since 1972 he has been a member of the district council. From 1988 to the end of 2008, Hogrefe was chairman of the CDU district association in Verden. He is a member of the CDU district executive in the Elbe-Weser area and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Verden district assembly. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, where he was active in various committees. Most recently he was spokesman for his group in the Committee on Federal and European Affairs and the Media. He did not run again in the 2013 state elections.

In 2016, Hogrefe was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
