Wilhelm Honegger

Wilhelm Honegger (born June 17, 1781 in Wollishofen ; † July 26, 1847 in Liestal ) was a Swiss printer's owner.

Honegger came to the newly founded canton of Basel-Landschaft in 1832 as an artillery major . There he instructed a team from Basel in the operation of four cannons bought in Lucerne .

Together with the drawing teacher Benedikt Banga from Zofingen , he founded the Banga und Honegger book printing company in Liestal, which published the “intrepid Rauracher” (today Basellandschaftliche Zeitung ), the first newspaper in the new canton.
