Wilhelm Kötting

Wilhelm Kötting (* 1953) is a German journalist . He was editor-in-chief of the German edition of the financial network Bloomberg Television until it was closed.

Kötting studied political science , law and sociology and was then employed by daily newspapers and radio stations as a foreign correspondent . After working in the USA and Hong Kong , he joined the BBC World Service in 1994 . From 1996 he worked for European Business News , after their merger for CNBC . From 1998 he was initially deputy at Bloomberg TV and from 2003 to 2009 editor-in-chief. There he was also seen as a moderator of stock market broadcasts, for example the Friday stock market whisper . Today he is the managing director of an online information service for the Handelsblatt .
