Wilhelm Leichtle

Wilhelm Leichtle (* 10. October 1940 in Augsburg ) is a German politician of the SPD and was from 1986 to 2008 a member of the Bavarian Parliament .

Life and politics

Wilhelm Leichtle became a member of the SPD in 1968. From 1980 to 1986 he was a full-time city ​​councilor for the city of Augsburg as a consultant for finances, real estate, sports, human resources and forestry. Before that, he had already held this position on a voluntary basis from 1972 to 1980 and since 1996. From 1976 to 1980 he also took over the chairmanship of the SPD city council group. During this time, he was deputy chairman of the SPD Augsburg within the party.

Wilhelm Leichtle had been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since October 22, 1986 . There he was chairman of the sports policy working group and sports policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. He was also a member of the Committee on Economics, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology. He was no longer available for election to the state parliament in Bavaria in 2008 .

In addition to his political involvement, he is deputy chairman and chairman of the finance committee of the state sports advisory board, member of the supervisory board of the Bavarian state sports association, and chairman of the DLRG state foundation and district chairman of the DLRG in Swabia .
