Wilhelm Mensching (doctor)

Wilhelm Mensching (full name Friedrich David Wilhelm Mensching ; * 1719 in the Hanover area , † October 28, 1798 in Boizenburg ) was a German general practitioner .

Life

Wilhelm Mensching came to the city of Boizenburg with a military formation as a Feldscheer . He worked there as early as 1751. In 1756 he received his doctorate from the University of Rostock under the chairmanship of Georg Christoph Detharding with his dissertation de operationibus quibusdam chirurgicis temere institutis . He then worked as a general practitioner in Boizenburg.

In 1790 Wilhelm Mensching was appointed court advisor.

family

On October 15, 1755, Mensching had his son Ernst Wilhelm Mensching (1755–1807) baptized in Boizenburg , who later became a doctor in Schwerin.
