Wilhelm Paetzel

Wilhelm Paetzel (born June 6, 1864 in Soldin , † after 1933) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending primary school, Paetzel completed a molding apprenticeship and then worked as a molding assistant until 1891. He then worked as a travel agent or bookseller at the Vorwärts bookstore and the JHW Dietz bookstore in Berlin-Neukölln until 1933 . At the same time he worked as an employee of daily newspapers and magazines.

Paetzel joined the SPD and was a city ​​councilor in Neukölln from 1913 to 1919 . From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly . He was then elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he was a member until 1933.

After the National Socialists came to power , Paetzel had to give up his job. He was not receiving a retirement pension and was monitored.
