Wilhelm Paul Ackermann
Wilhelm Paul Ackermann (* 1914 ; † 2002 ) was a German alternative practitioner and Swedish doctor who, among other things, treated the Swedish royal family.
Life
Ackermann, born in Germany and posted to Finland during the Second World War , began his natural medicine studies in Sweden and later became a naturopath in Germany. After further studies as a chiropractor in the USA and England, he worked as an assistant school doctor in Stockholm . He later founded the Ackermann College of Chiropractic , where the diagnosis and treatment system he developed on the basis of American chiropractic is taught. This college also has four training centers in Germany . He developed the thesis that the majority of all spinal problems are based on static problems caused by instability of the connection between the sacrum and the pelvis ( sacroiliac joint ) and that lasting success can only occur after this connection has been treated.
