Wilhelm Thomas (politician, 1834)

Wilhelm Thomas (born May 31, 1834 in Kranichfeld , † August 6, 1897 in Eisfeld ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Thomas attended grammar school in Meiningen and studied at the universities of Jena , Leipzig and Munich . During his studies in 1855 he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity . From 1865 to 1869 he was in the administrative service and later a district judge in Eisfeld. Between 1873 and 1890 he was a member of the Landtag of the Duchy of Meiningen and since 1886 in its presidium.

From 1890 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen 1 ( Meiningen , Hildburghausen ) and the German Liberal Party .
