Wilhelm Ulmen

Wilhelm Ulmen (born October 29, 1914 in Neuwied ; † January 29, 1993 ibid) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary and advanced school in Neuwied and graduating from high school in 1934, Ulmen studied law and political science in Bonn , Tübingen and Cologne . He passed the first state examination in law in 1939; the second followed in 1941.

From 1940 to 1941 he was a legal assistant at the SD section in Koblenz. In October 1941 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht . From 1944 he was a district judge and until the end of 1945 he was a prisoner of war .

In 1950 he was appointed district judge . In 1957 the higher regional judge . From 1971 he was Senate President at the OLG Koblenz .

Political activity

Ulmen was a member of the Hitler Youth from 1933 to 1934 , in 1940 he was a follower and legal advisor for the Neuwied HJ. Member of the NSDAP , he became a member of the NSRB in 1940 and 1942 . In the denazification process he was classified on 30 May 1949 by the denazification Koblenz as a follower and sentenced to a fine of $ 100.

He joined the FDP in 1963. He was deputy chairman of the Neuwied district association and member of the board of the FDP district association Koblenz-Nord.

MP

Ulmen was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from December 13, 1972 to May 17, 1979 . There he was a member of the Social Policy Committee in the 7th electoral term. In the 8th electoral term he was a member of the Petitions Committee , the Legal Committee and the "Data Protection Act" subcommittee.

In 1979 he was a member of the 7th Federal Assembly .
