Wilhelm van Lent

Wilhelm van Lent (born August 6, 1924 - December 15, 1980 ) was a Dutch football player .

The striker played in his home country at Hermes DVS in Schiedam, before he went to the French Division 1 as a professional in 1950 . His first stop was the Lille OSC , which reached the Coupe Latine final this season . After a year, van Lent moved within the first division to RC Lens . In his first season he was the top scorer of his team in the league with 18 goals. In total, van Lent was used 57 times in Division 1 and scored 32 goals. Later he was also active at AS Troyes-Savinienne .

In March 1953 he was a reserve player in the squad of Dutch international professionals at Watersnoodwedstrijd , a benefit game in Paris against the French national team for the benefit of the victims of the 1953 flood disaster .
