Wilhelmine Mayer , née Closs (born July 31, 1816 in Winnenden , † June 7, 1899 in Heilbronn ) was the wife of the doctor and physicist Robert Mayer .

Wilhelmine Mayer was a daughter of the Winnend city caretaker Johann Friedrich Cloß (1783-1856) and his wife Johanna, born. Ebersperger. Wilhelmine was called "the clever Minele" by her parents.

Her brother Friedrich Cloß (1813–1877) became a successful businessman and manufacturer. Her sister Johanna became the mother of the Mayor of Heilbronn , Paul Hegelmaier . Her sister Christiane "Nanette" Auguste Johanna (1819–1902) became Richard Rümelin's wife .

In 1842 Wilhelmine married the chief medical officer Robert Mayer. The couple was married by Gustav Rümelin . Seven children were born to the couple, four of whom died prematurely. The family lived in Heilbronn, Kirchhöfle 13 .
