Wilhelmsaue , an independent village until 1974, is now a locality in the municipality of Letschin in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg .

history

The place was founded before the drainage of the Oderbruch as a preliminary work of the royal office of Wollup (state domain). Vorwerk was built from 1722 to 1726.

Since 1836 the place was a municipality in the district of Lebus , whereby it was before that part of the district of Küstrin. From 1945 the community was in the newly formed Seelow district . On February 1, 1974, Wilhelmsaue lost its status as a community and became part of Letschin without receiving its own status as a district.
