The approximately 15,000 square meter park with old trees is named after its location in the former suburb of Wilhelmsdorf , the area of which was incorporated into Vienna in 1890. It borders on Aßmayergasse, Flurschützstraße and Karl-Löwe-Gasse. The short Deckergasse in the east connects the park with Längenfeldgasse . It is popularly called Deckerpark after her . Here the area borders directly on an elementary school built in 1908. In the Wilhelmsdorfer Park there is also an octagonal lavatory built in 1909 by Wilhelm Beetz .
history
The Wilhelmsdorfer Park was opened in 1909, a memorial stone commemorates it. After 1984, the area of an abandoned rail warehouse of Wiener Linien was expanded . The Viennese landscape planners Maja Kirchner and Wilfried Kirchner redesigned the park in 1990 using different shades of blue.
