Mark Wilkinson (born April 18, 1989 ), known as Wilkinson , is a British drum and bass musician and DJ from London .
Career
At the age of 14, Mark Wilkinson gave up his guitar and got a sequencer instead . In college he took a course in music production and gradually he built his own recording studio. His first major production was the track Hypnosis in 2010 , which appeared on a sampler on Hospital Records . He signed his own record deal with RAM Records after sending demos to owner and DJ Andy C.
His first label release was the song Moonwalker , which also appeared on Andy C's Nightlife Compliation. Further single releases followed. In 2012 he received the Newcomer Award as a producer at the British D&B Awards .
The following year, Wilkinson released the piece Afterglow as a pre-single for his first album . He had a number 1 dance hit and made it into the top 10 of the UK charts . Then the album Lazers Not Included also hit the official charts. Three more songs from the album were further hit parades in 2014.
