Will Sanders

Will Sanders (* 1965 in Venlo ) is a Dutch horn player and university lecturer.

Live and act

He received his musical training in Maastricht from Erich Penzel , where he graduated with honors in 1988. While still a student, he became a member of the European Youth Orchestra in 1985 (conductor Claudio Abbado ). A year later he became deputy principal horn player in the orchestra of the Nationaltheater Mannheim and in 1988 principal horn player in the symphony orchestra of the Südwestfunk Baden-Baden . In 1990 he moved to the same position in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra . From 1992 to 1997 he was principal horn player at the Bayreuth Festival .

Sanders has worked with all of today's well-known conductors and has given guest appearances in most of Germany's leading orchestras and with the Vienna Philharmonic .

In addition to his orchestral work, he has made several CDs and radio recordings and has performed frequently as an international soloist and as a member of various chamber music ensembles such as German Brass , Linos Ensemble , Mullova Ensemble and Wind Art Ensemble .

He has given international horn workshops and courses in the United States , Japan , Korea , Australia , Italy , Spain , the Netherlands , Switzerland, etc. a.

From 1995 he taught the horn class together with Erich Penzel at the Maastricht Music Academy ( Netherlands ). In 2000 he was appointed professor for horn at the Karlsruhe University of Music .
