Willem de Beer

Willem de Beer (born March 14, 1988 in Pretoria ) is a South African sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter distance .

In 2011 he finished second at the South African Championships. At the World Athletics Championships in Daegu , he won silver with the South African team in the 4 x 400 meter relay , after finishing third in the relay at the Universiade in Shenzhen shortly before .

At the African Championships in 2012 in Porto Novo, de Beer won the bronze medal and the silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a new personal best of 45.67 seconds. At the Olympic Games in London , he finished eighth in the relay.
