Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen

Willem Hendrik van de Sande Bakhuyzen (born November 13, 1957 in Arnhem , † September 27, 2005 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch director. Van de Sande Bakhuyzen made a name for himself with various film and television productions, as well as with productions at the theater.

Life

After graduating from school, he first studied law at the Free University of Amsterdam . After three years he moved to the Maastricht Theater Academy in 1979 , where he studied for another three years. There he met the screenwriter Maria Goos and the actors Pierre Bokma , Peter Blok and Gijs Scholten van Aschat , who later worked in his films.
