Willi Pohl was a German soccer player .

Career

Willi Pohl played for Arminia Bielefeld in the 1920s . With the Arminia he was West German champion in 1922 and 1923 and qualified for the final round of the German championship. In the 1923 final against TuRU Düsseldorf , he scored the decisive goal in extra time to make it 4: 3. In the quarter-final game of the German championship , Arminia met Union Oberschöneweide . In the replay, Pohl gave Bielefeld the lead, before Oberschöneweide won after extra time. Pohl was nominated for the international match of the German national team on May 10, 1923 in Hamburg against the Netherlands . However, he had to cancel due to an injury. Later Pohl played for VfL Salzuflen and trained together with Otto Kranefeld Arminia Bielefeld from 1940 to 1942 .
