Willi Rothley

Willi Rothley (born December 15, 1943 in Bottenbach ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Kaiserslautern in 1963 , Rothley studied law and philosophy in Tübingen and Frankfurt am Main . In 1974 he passed the assessor examination and was admitted to the bar. In 2003 he was the founder and president of the Institute for European Transport in Trier .

politics

Rothley was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from 1979 to 1984 . From 1984 to 2004 he was a member of the European Parliament . There he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Citizens' Rights from 1989 to 1999 and then of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market until he left Parliament in 2004.
