William A. Masters

William A. Masters (* before 1979) is an American agricultural economist . He is Professor of Nutritional Policy at Tufts University .

Life

Masters is the son of Roger Masters . He attended Deep Springs College from 1979 to 1982 and then studied economics and political science at Yale University ( BA , 1984). His MA (1986) and his Ph.D. (1992) he received from Stanford University . From 1991 to 2010 was a Masters Professor at Purdue University . Since 2010 he has been a professor at Tufts University. In 2000 he was visiting scholar at Harvard University , 2003-2004 visiting professor at Columbia University .

Master's research interests are food systems, particularly in Africa. First he worked on markets and trade , later on innovation and information .
