William Boleyn

Sir William Boleyn (* 1451 in Blickling , Norfolk ; † October 10, 1505 ) was an English nobleman .

He was a Knight of the Bath to beat Knight and was from 1489 High Sheriff of Kent .

William Boleyn was the father of Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire , and the paternal grandfather of Anne Boleyn , the second wife of King Henry VIII of England . His parents were Sir Geoffrey Boleyn and Anne Hoo .

He was married to Lady Margaret Butler, daughter of Thomas Butler, 7th Earl of Ormonde . He had ten children with her:
