William Hamilton MacFarland
William Hamilton MacFarland (born February 9, 1799 in Lunenburg County , Virginia , † January 10, 1872 in Greenbrier County , West Virginia ) was an American politician in the 19th century .
He held a seat in the State Legislature of Virginia from 1822 to 1824 and again from 1830 to 1831 . Then in 1861 he represented his home state at its Secession Convention and later in the Provisional Confederate Congress .
MacFarland died in Greenbrier County, West Virginia in 1872 and was subsequently buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond , Virginia. He was also married to Ann Taylor Roberts (1803-1832).
