William Hart-Bennett
William M. Hart-Bennett CMG ( 1861 - September 4, 1918 ) was a British colonial administrator.
biography
Hart-Bennett served from June 22 to September 1, 1904 as Governor of the Falkland Islands and was from January 29, 1918 Governor of British Honduras . He died in the same year as a result of an injury sustained in a fire accident on August 17th that year. He was married to the writer Ella Mary , née Tuck, who died in 1914 when the RMS Empress of Ireland went down.
