William Hill Poker Grand Prix

The William Hill Poker Grand Prix is a poker tournament sponsored by William Hill plc . In 2005 it took place from October 17th to 25th and in 2007 from January 30th to March 27th. 56 professionals and amateurs participated in both editions. Both tournaments were played in Cardiff .

The entry fee was £ 6,000 (about $ 10,500). About $ 200,000 more was added to the prize fund by William Hill. A limited number of players qualified through online promotion tournaments .

Seven preliminary rounds were played, with the winner of each preliminary decision to the Grand Final (grand finale) arrived. The runner-up took part in a semi-final round against each other, the winner of which also reached the final, in which the winners of the seven preliminary rounds, called heats, and the winner of the semi-finals played.
